Purple Camel and Teachers

A 'so-called' wise person once said, "A good teacher is like a candle - it consumes itself to light the way for others."(unknown)

Although a noble sentiment, I'm not sure that a candle consumed is of much value.  I'd rather follow a leader who has energy, wisdom and strength.  Every teacher needs time to rest, relax and be rejuvenated in order to lead.

Good Teaching addresses multiple learning styles, accentuates strengths, and accommodates areas of weakness. Students need relevant and interesting information presented through various media, using hands-on activities. They also need consistent and focused opportunities to attain basic skills.
